Are you a local artist in Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo and would like to design the 2026 official Frostival mural? ​

Apply below for the $500 stipend to design the 2026 Frostival Mural.

Every year, Visit Fargo-Moorhead seeks a local artist to showcase their creativity through a unique Frostival mural. Interested artists must submit their concepts by October 26, 2025. Submitted concepts will be reviewed and voted on, with the selected artist being notified by November 3. The chosen artist will then have the opportunity to create a 4x8 ft mural masterpiece that the community can admire during Frostival.

Q: Where will the mural be showcased?

A: The Frostival mural will be located at Viking Ship Park in Moorhead.

 

Q: What theme should the mural incorporate?
A: The theme for the 2026 Frostival mural must be "Lights."

Q: What is the size of the plexiglass, and what medium can the artist use?

A: The mural is created on a 4x8-foot sheet of clear plexiglass, and the artist has the choice of medium.
Note: It must be able to withstand cold temperatures.

Q: Any other requirements? 

A: The mural must be family-friendly. Additionally, if snowflakes or the Frostival logo are incorporated, they must be the official design elements.
