It's true, cold really IS cool, and that's what Frostival is all about. Get yourself ready for 6 weeks of winter fun!

You can expect all the same events you've come to love over the years, such as cardboard sled races, winter kickball, volleyball, disc golf, massive bouncy castles, snow sculpture competitions, and so much more!

History of Frostival

Okay, admit it. You really don’t hate winter as much as you say you do. We know, we know, we all complain about it, but the truth is that—at the very least—we find some parts of it enjoyable. Besides, 12 months of summer would get a little boring, wouldn’t it?

So, we got to thinking. What if there were more things to do in the winter? That’s not to say that there aren’t things to do already, but the fact is, many of us don’t even know about all of the activities available in Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo, indoors and out. We got to thinking even harder when consultants hired to help us attract workers to fill all of the open jobs in town said, “Holy cow, the people who’ve lived here the longest are the ones who complain about winter the most. How is that helping us?”

All right, we thought, fine then, let’s have some more winter fun. Let’s start with a weekend of games and activities during the deepest, darkest part of winter. At first, we thought, let’s call it the North of Normal Winter Games, but then it became obvious that it wouldn’t/shouldn’t only be games, so we decided to call it Frostival. That sounds good to us, and we hope it sounds good to you, too. Good enough, at least, to check out some of the fun. If you like it, we’ll keep doing it. Come on, what have you go to lose?
